If you've ever wondered how arts and academics are integrated into the classroom, check out the amazing work done in Ms. McNamara's English 10 classes!
As part of the Unit where students study Rodolfo “Corky’ Gonzalez, Yo Soy Joaquin poem, students studied the history of Mexico, and the Chicano Movement. This unit included a creative project for each class. Students produced, directed, scored, acted, danced and created animation as they were analyzing the tone and message of this epic poem.
We shared their videos with our staff and now here's your chance to take a look.
After our staff had time to review, our Period 2 class emerged as the winner!
