-
Following your audition, all applicants will participate in a brief interview with the adjudicator/s.
PREPARING FOR THE AUDITION:

-
You are required to perform TWO contrasting monologues; one Comedic & one Dramatic.
-
Monologues will come from published or unpublished work; such as a play, or from film or television scripts. If you choose to perform original, unpublished work as one of your monologue choices, you must bring a copy of the monologue to your audition.
-
Each monologue must be no longer than 2 minutes in length.
-
Choose monologues featuring a character close to your actual age. Characters should be as natural, real, and as close to you in real life.
-
Students do not have to play "gender specific" roles. There are some universally powerful monologues that play well for male, female and non-binary.
-
During the call back audition, some applicants may be asked to do a cold reading or improvisation. Some applicants may be given directions and asked to repeat all or part of their monologue, incorporating those directions. No home preparation is required for this part of the audition.
-
Following your callback audition, all applicants will participate in a brief interview with the adjudicators.
