IRENE LIU

Ms. Liu is excited to work alongside a team of passionate and talented faculty and staff at LACHSA. Prior to LACHSA, Ms. Liu has taught in East Boston and San Diego in public and independent schools. Additionally, she brings 15 years of real-world experience as a professional scientist into the classroom. Instead of increasing the productivity of cell cultures, Ms. Liu is looking forward to increasing the “specific” and “volumetric” productivity of each individual student and the class as a whole.

Ms. Liu has served as a Science Fair Judge at the County and State levels. She obtained a B.A. in Biology from St. Catherine University and an Ed.M. from Harvard University.

This year in our biology class, we will discover the arts through the lens of the natural world. We will focus on the WHY and the HOW behind everything we do. Lastly, we will be “scientific” in our thinking and actions.
