Jacquelyne “Jackie” Quinn Estrada (She/They) is a Southern California based scenic designer and theater educator. She began her work in theater at Rancho Cucamonga’s Chaffey College studying the practice and art of stagecraft in its many forms before transferring to the California Polytechnic State University in Pomona to complete her BA in Theater Technology and Design. During the pandemic, Jacquelyne sought out a master’s degree program and, in 2021, accepted a position at the University of California Irvine in their MFA Drama program with a focus in Scenic Design. While at UCI she designed their Spring 2022 production of The Effect, the Spring 2023 production of The Sweetheart Deal, and her graduate thesis project was the 2024 production of The Brothers Paranormal. Outside of school she has been involved in productions at East West Players’ Theater for Youth program, the Discovery Science Center Santa Ana, the Mark Taper Forum, Santa Ana College, and more recently at the Aurora Theater in Long Beach for the new work production of Mrs. Christmas. Jacquelyne has a love of teaching and has taught at schools throughout Southern California such as at her alumni school of Cal Poly Pomona, as well as at Irvine Valley College, and Whittier College. She is honored to be the current Scenic Design Teacher here at LACHSA and is proud to be able to aid and mentor students through shows in both Scenic Design and Projections Design.
