Printmaking

Marianne Sadowski is a visual artist and art educator born and raised in Mexico City. She has a BA in Film from the Universidad Iberoamericana and an MFA from the Academy of San Carlos, both in Mexico City. Her paintings, prints and mixed media works convey ideas of duality and opposites in life and nature while addressing social themes through the profound human psique. Her art has been widely exhibited in the United States and Mexico. She is an active member of Los de Abajo Printmaking Collective based in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Printmaking Society and Consejo Gráfico, a network of workshops that promote Latino printmaking in the United States. Sadowski has been teaching art for over 20 years in different Museums, Schools and non-profit organizations, such as LACMA, Getty, the Skirball Cultural Museum, CARS and ARTworx, among many others.
