Trumpeter, writer and arranger Bryan Lipps has been the featured soloist with multi-Grammy winning international recording artists Michael Buble, Kurt Elling, and rock and blues artist John Mayer. As a Los Angeles studio musician, he has worked closely with RIAA multi-platinum record producers David Foster, Bob Rock, Steve Jordan, and Umberto Gatica.
Bryan was selected to be a Jazz Fellow by the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, where he had the honor of learning from and playing with the patriarchs of modern jazz, including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Terrence Blanchard. He has played in every major venue and jazz festival on every continent, and can be seen and heard on numerous T.V. shows and Films.
He is also passionately involved with jazz education, having had the honor of teaching jazz through innovative programs including Jazz In America, Jazz In The Classroom, and BeBop To Hip-Hop. Bryan has regularly taught at the L.A.County High School for the Arts since 2001. Mr. Lipps holds a B.M. from North Carolina School of the Arts, a M.M. From Manhattan School of Music, and an Advanced Performers Certificate from the Thelonious Monk Institute at U.S.C.
