Mrs. Bea has been in the education realm since 1980 and has taught in a vast multitude of populations, ranging from pre-K, high school, special education, and the incarcerated youth. Her teaching approach centers around project-based learning (PBL) and she is a firm believer that each student should have a voice and choice in his or her educational experience.
She is a member of the California Democracy Initiative, which targets present-day issues where students become agents of change. In 2018, Mrs. Bea was awarded Teacher of the Year from the California Council of Social Studies and she believes that history never dies.
Mrs. Bea has shared that while this year will have its challenges, those challenges will be overcome by ingenuity, hard work, and creativity.
