ASHA DI NINGRAT

Ellia Asha di Ningrat is an Educator, Dance Maker and Performing Artist specializing in Experimental, Contemporary and Jazz Dance. She is the creator of her dance company, UNTETHERED X and is on faculty at LACHSA. She was on faculty as well as the Artistic Assistant to the Artistic Director for the Joffrey Ballet School of New York’s Contemporary Dance Program: Joffrey West. This opportunity gave Asha the hands on
experience of developing a six week dance intensive from scratch and watching it quickly develop into one of the most successful Dance intensives of it‘s time. In addition, Asha was invited to collaborate with former LINES Ballet Master, Arturo Fernandez as his assistant choreographer for the program. She has been a guest artist for dance centers, creative workshops, and intensives throughout the country including Yuri Grigoriev School of Ballet, Idyllwild Arts Academy, Russian Ballet School Los Angeles and Anaheim Ballet. She has served as a member of the Creative Team as an Assistant Choreographer for FELD Entertainment’s Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey’s Greatest Show on Earth, and for INTEL.
