Musical Theatre

The Musical Theatre Ensemble is an integration of spirited vocals, energized dancing and dramatic acting. All of the arts coalesce to create a dazzling masterpiece to excite all of the senses. The musical theatre course is interdisciplinary and designed to produce a selected musical/s integrating the arts areas of dance, music, theatre and visual arts. Participation is by audition. Production aspects include training in voice production (speaking and singing), acting, movement and dance stressing performance techniques. Course work culminates in a fully staged production/s. Students are exposed to professional standards and training by professionals in the industry to enhance skill building as preparation for further education and careers in the field of musical theatre performance. Recent graduates have gone on to study at Tisch School for the Arts/NYU, Carnegie Mellon University, UCLA, USC, Boston Conservatory, Northwestern University, University of Michigan, Cincinnati School of Music and Syracuse University.
